SILVER DOLLAR: P90 SOAP BAR NEODYMIUM HANDMADE PICKUPS NECK + BRIDGE SET / COIL TAP

Set of P90 pickups Neck + Bridge hand wound, with neodymium magnets and an electromagnetic shielding (tinned copper foil) for the reduction of the picked noises, to which this type of single coil pickups tends more to be affected.

The coils were wound with AWG 42 wire (0.063mm diameter) and are both "coil tap". The neck pickup has a series resistance (Rs) of 5.80 Kohm in coil tap and (COOL mode) 8.40 Kohm in full coil (HOT mode).

The bridge pickup: 6.50 Kohm in coil tap and 9.20 Kohm in full coil operation.

The two pickups are RWRP one to respect the other, in order to obtain the hum cancellation when they are working simultaneously (regardless by the coil tap or full coil mode in which they will operate).

The termination cables are also shielded and have the relative hot poles white for the coil tap outputs and red for the full coil outputs (see attached pics).

The waxing was carried out in a mixed bath of paraffin and beeswax.

The covers are available, at the moment, in the following colors: black; white; cream; green; (to choice, without price changes).

The sonic character of these "soap bars" is very energetic, lively, extended in frequency towards the extremes of band and present on medium frequencies. The output level, especially in full coil mode, is decidedly generous. All this thanks to both their powerful neodymium magnetic systems and the generous hand-wound coils. For these reasons, they are particularly versatile and therefore indicated and captivating in musical genres ranging from jazz to hard rock, with a nod to the metal genres and a valid alternative to humbuckers that are not too powerful.
